Did you know that spackle can be made at home?
If you are like me and like to move your wall hangings every few months, this is the perfect little recipe for you.
I rearranged my room the other day and found myself moving things around on the walls and leaving small holes here and there. I didn’t have any spackle on hand and honestly I was more in the mood to find a free solution than to spend money on this item. So I looked it up.
To my joy and surprise I found that it is possible, with three little ingredients I have in my kitchen. Ready for it?
Homemade Spackle Recipe
2 Tablespoons corn starch
2 Tablespoons salt
1 Tablespoon water
Mix together and add more water if needed.
It looks really runny and wet when you first apply the mixture to the holes, but it dries thick and white. Can’t even tell I had holes in my walls. Super fun.
I have a few more cheats and tips under the tab at the top of my blog. I’ll keep finding more. Enjoy!

You’re welcome Terry. Hoped it worked as well for you as it did for me.
